July Chevy Bolt Recall Update

Dear valued member:

We hope you’ve enjoyed Miocar in the past few months, and that our service has helped you get where you need to go. Unfortunately, we learned today that General Motors has issued a second recall affecting the Chevy Bolts in our fleet that we recalled in November 2020. You can read more about it here: http://www.chevy.com/boltevrecall

Out of an abundance of caution, as we did initially in November, we have taken all 17 Bolts out of service. We will continue to monitor guidance from GM, and keep you in the loop as we learn more. In the meantime, we’re working to pull a few more of the BMW i3’s and a Pacifica Hybrid Minivan back in service, so that every Miocar location has at least one vehicle available. These vehicles were mothballed in the past few months, as we’ve been gradually restoring service over the last year.

Our goal is to minimize disruption of service to you. Don’t hesitate to contact us by email if you have any questions on this. Our team will be in the field in the coming days working through this redeployment. We appreciate your patience, and we will update you soon.

As a side note: we continue to monitor COVID-19 guidance actively and will adjust service protocols as needed. As always, we’ll keep to informed on this our our website www.miocar.org

Thanks,

The Miocar team
