Míocar is supported by a number of community partners, including CalVans, Self Help Enterprises, UC Davis, Sigala Inc., Fresno State Office of Community and Economic Development, and Mobility Development. Míocar is made possible thanks to a grant from the California Air Resources Board that supports the program and others in the Central Valley through the Ecosystems of Shared Mobility pilot project.
Charge Up Contra Costa is providing EV carsharing, Miocar, to residents of Richmond. Charge Up Contra Costa is a Richmond Transportation Department grant to boost personal electric mobility in the county’s Equity Priority Communities. Initiatives include EV charging rebates for multi-family housing, EV carshare, E-Bike rebates, and EV workforce development. Miocar is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment – particularly in disadvantaged communities.
Míocar launched on December 19th with the first 100% electric carshare station in Tracy, CA in collaboration with the Housing Authority County of San Joaquin and San Joaquin Council of Governments funded through the new statewide Clean Mobility Options Voucher Pilot Program (CMO).
