Miocar is a 100% electric vehicle (EV) car sharing service available in Richmond, Stockton, and Tulare/Kern County.
Requirements
Miocar is available to anyone over 21 years of age with a valid driver's license, relatively clean driving record and a valid credit, debit or bank card.
Member access
Members have access to a network of cars in areas throughout Richmond and the San Joaquin Valley.
Bookings start at $4 per hour or $35 per day.
*Driver’s license from 50 states accepted. *AB60 license accepted.

5 SIMPLE STEPS
How does it work?
1- SIGN UP + ORIENTATION: Sign up today and start the application process. If approved, you will need to complete a 15-20 minute orientation via phone or video.
2- RESERVE: Reserve Miocar in advance on the mobile app or website.
3- PICK UP: Open the ZEV co-op app, unlock the vehicle, unplug from the charging station and begin your trip!
4- DRIVE!: You can lock and unlock the vehicle with your smartphone or smartcard throughout your trip. Drive carefully and enjoy the drive!
5- RETURN & PLUG IN TO CHARGE: Return the car to the station where you began your journey. Use the charge card to swipe at the charging station and then plug the car into the charger and end your trip with the app!

Our Approach
Míocar is a membership-based carsharing service providing 24/7 access to vehicles on an hour or daily basis. As a member, you can book a vehicle online at bookings.zev.coop or by downloading the ZEV co-op smartphone app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Miocar members must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license with a relatively clean driving record (this includes AB60 license holders) and a valid credit, debit or prepaid card.
Insurance, vehicle maintenance and roadside assistance are all included in the hourly and daily rates. Charge cards are also available for members to use free of charge during their trips. In the event of an accident, you are responsible for a $500 deductible. You will be fully responsible for the cost of any third-party claims in the event that Miocar’s third-party insurance coverage is invalidated due to your failure to follow procedure.
Download the ZEV co-op smartphone app on Apple or Google Play or fill out an online form at bookings.zev.coop. Approved members will be notified via email within 3-5 business days on the next steps to complete your registration process.
- No. You will need to wait 3-5 business days for your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) to get processed. If approved, you will also need to complete a 15-20 minute orientation which can be done via phone or video call.
